to assist with the training contract application process. It will
be necessary for you to provide personal data when completing the
application form. Goodman Derrick LLP are the ‘data controller’
(as defined in the Act) of the personal data you provide and you
will therefore need to consent to Apply4Law processing your personal
data on behalf of Goodman Derrick LLP for the purpose of considering
and efficiently administering your application. If you agree to
your personal data being processed in this way, you should indicate
this by ticking the box when prompted.
Use of Your Personal Information
Your personal information shall be used in the following
ways:
- your completed application form will
be stored on Apply4Law’s servers;
- your completed application form will be sent to Goodman Derrick
LLP so that they may consider whether to further your application;
- your email address will be used in order to communicate to
you the progress of your application; and
- if you are an unsuccessful candidate Goodman Derrick LLP will
retain your application form for 3 months following notification
of your unsuccessful application and then safely dispose of the
personal data in a secure manner.
Goodman Derrick LLP and Apply4Law respect your concerns about privacy
and follow strict procedures to protect your personal information.
Apply4Law will ensure that your personal information is handled
in a responsible way. Your personal information will only be used
for the purposes listed above. Apply4Law or Goodman Derrick LLP
will never sell, rent or otherwise make available any of your personal
information, including your email address, unless required to do
so by law.
Once Goodman Derrick LLP’s recruitment process has been completed,
your personal information will no longer be stored on Apply4Law’s
servers.
Apply4Law and Goodman Derrick LLP will use its best endeavours
to ensure that your personal information is kept secure and is never
accessible to unauthorised third parties. However, Apply4Law or
Goodman Derrick LLP will not be liable in any way for any breach
of security or for the actions of unauthorised third parties that
receive such information.

Ultimately, it is your responsibility to ensure that your personal
information is kept secure. Accordingly, Apply4Law recommended that
you do not use a publicly accessible computer to complete the application
form.
Apply4Law use of Cookies
Apply4Law uses session cookies in order to authenticate users during
the application procedure. Cookies operate by placing a small text
file on your hard drive. Session cookies are deleted once your session
has finished. If you do not wish to receive cookies you can alter
your Internet browser's settings so that it does not accept them.
Please be aware that if cookies are disabled, you will not be able
to complete the application form.
Goodman Derrick LLP’s use of IP addresses and Cookies
We may collect information about your computer, including where
available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for
system administration. This is statistical data about our users'
browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.
For the same reason, we may obtain information about your general
internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard
drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred
to your computer's hard drive. They help us to improve our Web Site
