Areas of legal expertise
Ian’s areas of legal expertise include all matters relating to the administration of estates including dealing with estates of foreign domiciles; will drafting, estate and tax planning and general tax advice, all aspects of charity law, trust drafting and administration, trustee advice, court of Protection and receivership work and succession of peerages.

Education
Ian was educated at St Anselm’s College Birkenhead, University of Sheffield and Chester College of Law. Ian qualified as a solicitor in 1989 after completing his Articles with Payne Hicks Beach. Ian joined Goodman Derrick in 1990 and became Partner in 2001.
