Education
John was educated at Ellesmere College (1957 – 1962) and the University of Liverpool (1962 – 1965). John joined Cuff Roberts in Liverpool as a trainee in 1966 and qualified as a Solicitor in 1968. In 1968 John joined the Law Commission until 1970 when he joined Goodman Derrick as Partner.
