Areas of work
Paul deals with all aspects of non-contentious and compliance
work relating to television production, content and
broadcasting. Paul has particular expertise in rights
and content clearances, digital broadcasting and media
technology and covers all areas of TV and broadcasting
law and practice: an all rounder with over 20 years’
experience in the industry. His clients include ITV,
Sky, Channel 4, Five, GMTV, S4C and RDF Media. Paul
regularly presents lectures and in-house seminars for
broadcasters and producers on media law issues, and
is himself an occasional broadcaster on media and legal
issues.

Education
Paul was educated at Salvatorian College Grammar School
in Harrow (1971–1978), Southampton University
(1979–1982) and College of Law, London (1982–1983).
Paul joined Goodman Derrick as a trainee in 1983 and
qualified as a Solicitor in 1985. Paul has been a partner
at Goodman Derrick since 1990.
