SEPTEMBER 2010
From the 1 October 2010 all companies must have at least one director who is a natural person. If your company currently only has corporate directors, you must appoint a natural person as a director before the 1 October 2010 deadline.
Failure to appoint a natural person as director before the deadline could result in a fine of up to £5,000 plus additional daily default fines if you fail to respond to a notification from Companies House.
Directors are reminded that they can take advantage of the new privacy provisions of the Companies Act 2006 which allow directors to keep their residential addresses private.
