Employment Law Seminars
The Employment Department is running it's popular Spring breakfast seminars during March this year as follows:
6 March: "To Settle or not to Settle?"
We will examine reasons for considering settlement of claims, methods of achieving settlement, legally binding settlement documentation and looking at last year's Employment Tribunal statistics to give you an idea of the numbers of cases that reach final hearing each year and the numbers that succeed and fail. Click here for invitation
13 March:"Who do you think they are?"
Workers come in many forms: employees, self-employed workers, casual workers, agency workers. There are also volunteers and new on the scene “interns". Confusing? We will be looking at how various types of worker and volunteers are legally defined and explain their legal rights and the obligations of the organisations who engage them. Click here for invitation
20 March: "Employment and Discrimination Law: Annual Review"
We will highlight key case decisions in employment and discrimination law in 2011 plus developments which are expected during 2012. Information to follow.
If you wish to book a place on any of our spring seminars, please contact Jennifer Hellyer on 020 7404 0606 or by email: jhellyer@gdlaw.co.uk
