  • Most Admired Programme at the Voice of the Listener and Viewer's 25th anniversary awards at BAFTA this monthGoodman Derrick sponsored the top award for the "Most Admired Programme" at the Voice of the Listener and Viewer’s 25th anniversary awards at BAFTA this month.

    The most prestigious award, which went to BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, was presented by Paul Herbert, Head of Goodman Derrick’s media team to John Humphries and the programme’s producer.

  • GOODMAN DERRICK LLP Secures victory for robust  political campaigning - In a landmark decision, our media team acted for two successful defendants in a case of alleged malicious falsehood and breach of data protection. According to Patrick Swaffer, who acted for the defendants, the decision in the case of Quinton –v- Pierce & Cooper upholds the tradition of vigorous political debate in this country: Patrick commented, “Any other result would have fundamentally changed the nature of campaign material used in elections and sterilised much political comment” Click here for our press release.

  • Media Tour - Paul Herbert, Head of Media, is on a tour of ITV's regional newsrooms giving a seminar on "Compliance and Court Reporting". The "tour" has already taken him to Manchester and Plymouth and he will be making further appearances in Leeds and Belfast
