Rebecca qualified as a solicitor in the corporate department in September 2009 having completed her training contract with the firm. Rebecca is currently gaining experience in a broad range of both corporate and commercial matters which include:
- corporate acquisitions and group restructuring exercises;
- share purchase and joint venture agreements;
- loan and security documentation;
- commercial terms & conditions including internet and website terms;
- e-commerce and the impact of the Distance Selling Regulations;
- data protection and privacy issues for both online and face to face businesses;
- corporate governance issues including drafting of Companies Act 2006 constitutional documents, reductions of share capital, purchase of own shares, dividends, etc;
- shareholder disputes, unfair prejudice and directors’ duties;
- VAT and tax issues in relation to classic motor cars;
- insurance law and FSA regulation of the insurance sector; and
- intellectual property and trademark issues.
