Emmison specialises in transactions and disputes in the historic
car field. Martin’s niche practice deals with domestic
and cross border purchases, sales and exchanges of expensive
vehicles, including issues of title, provenance, deferred
payment and security, import, taxation and registration; the
resolution of disputes often relates to transactions that
are not properly documented, and problems arising from replicas,
restoration and race preparation.
In the last four years, Martin has been involved in transactions relating to the following significant cars changing hands: three 1950’s Maserati 250F GP cars and a 200si; Lancia D24 and B24 Spyder, several Ferrari F1 cars, Ferrari 196S 250 GTO, four 250 SWB, 166, 375MM, 250TR, 250GT California Spyder, 250LM, 275GTB, NART Spyder and F40 models; several Jaguar C and D-Types, XKSS, XK120, E-Type Lightweight, four AC Cobra, Aston Martin DBR1, DBR2, DB3S and DB4GT, Zagato; Porsche 804, 917, 911S/T, 908 and 904/6, Ford GT40; Gulf Mirage, Lola T70, several McLaren F1 GT, Bizzarrini, several Lamborghini Miura, OSCA, Pagani Zonda, Delage GP car, several Alfa Romeo 8C/2300 and 8C/2900, several Rolls Royce Silver Ghosts and Bugatti Royale/T57s Atlantique.
