Chris Smith

Solicitor

Chris is a solicitor in the Corporate Department.

Chris has assisted clients in conventional company and corporate instructions, including share and business sales for both listed and non-listed companies and general company law advice.

He also has experience with commercial contracts, including standard terms and conditions of business and general purchase and supply contractual documentation.

Career

After finishing his law degree in Cardiff, Chris obtained an MPhil in Cohabitation and Property Law and then spent some time working in a law firm in London. Chris studied the LPC at Oxford Institute of Legal Practice before joining Goodman Derrick LLP as a trainee in September 2011.

Out of the office

Chris is a very keen cricketer, having represented many teams in the UK (including Cardiff MCCU and the MCC) and New Zealand (including winning the Hawke Cup with North Otago for the first time in their history). He also plays golf to handicap of 18 and competes in regular social tournaments.
