New Dispute Resolution Partner Appointment: Stephen Hornsby

Goodman Derrick is delighted to announce the arrival of Stephen Hornsby as a partner in its dispute resolution department. Stephen is a very experienced competition lawyer (both contentious and non contentious) with particular experience in the media entertainment and sports sectors.  He recently led a major judicial review against Ofcom for a commercial broadcaster which was settled on a satisfactory basis and also in the High Court, successfully quashed a lifetime ban on the physiotherapist involved in the famous “Bloodgate” case.

Stephen Hornsby said:

“I am looking forward immensely to working at Goodman Derrick at their new offices in the City.  The firm has clearly developed a successful business model in a challenging environment and in the coming years I hope to help it take the next steps forward in its existing markets or beyond”.

Tim Langton, head of Dispute Resolution at Goodman Derrick, commented:

“We’re very pleased to welcome Stephen to the firm.  His acknowledged expertise in competition law will complement our existing practice and, we hope, enable us to provide an even better service to our clients. Stephen’s arrival brings our total number of partners to twenty six, which is the largest the firm has ever been in its fifty year history.  In the present market, we feel we are the right size to be responsive to the varying needs of our clients and yet still able to offer them a quality, partner led service and real value for their money.
