Sometimes it seems that every time you look up, there’s a new set of employment rules to follow and more cases changing the law. It is very easy to let your HR policies and practices get out of date, without even realising it.
A “check up” on your HR Systems and documents can spot any problems, help you take the necessary steps to put them right and ensure you are up to date.

We can review your existing arrangements and explore the needs of your business to identify any specific problem areas.  We will discuss with you our recommendations for changes to satisfy the minimum legal requirements as well as what is desirable.

One size policies do not fit all and the best should fit your business needs and culture.

Our visit will focus primarily on reviewing contracts of employment, staff handbooks and employment policies, as well as giving you the opportunity to talk about general law issues.  We would like to get to know you and your business needs.  We will then review your current arrangements, which may involve us taking copies of documents away with us, and follow up with our recommendations.  A formal written report can be provided if you wish.  We can also work together to put our suggestions into practice.

The cost of our health check will depend on the size and complexity of your business as well as how much input you want us to have to get your policies and practices in good order.

As a guide our discounted charges for this service will be in the region of:

  • £600 + VAT for a half a day visit (up to 4 hours); and
  • £1,200 + VAT for a full day-day visit (up to 8 hours).

If you would like a written report of our review and recommendations, this would cost in the region of £500 to £750 + VAT, depending on the level of required detail.  Assistance with drafting or amending contracts and policies will normally be charged at our usual hourly rates, details available on request.
