Goodman Derrick to host employment law winter workshop on family leave
On Wednesday 18th November Goodman Derrick are hosting a practical workshop on Navigating Family Leave. Using their expertise, our speakers will provide practical guidance and tips for handling family leave rights and family pay in a case study scenario based on an HR professional's journey through a lifetime of family friendly rights.
This workshop is for Human Resource directors, managers and advisers, in-house legal advisers, directors and senior executives with involvement in HR issues and risk management, and anyone with managerial responsibilities who deal with requests from employees for family leave and pay.
Navigating Family Leave will cover:
- A mother taking maternity/adoption leave
- A partner taking paternity leave
- A mother and their partner sharing family leave and pay rights by taking shared parental leave
- A parent taking parental leave
- A flexible working request
- Taking time off for dependents
There will also be the opportunity to speak to our team of employment law experts as well as keep up to date with the latest legal developments, ensuring you gain practical guidance on the new shared parental leave regime and ensuring you are not falling foul of the law or exposed to unnecessary risks.
