New Construction & Engineering Partner: John Wright

Goodman Derrick LLP is pleased to announce that John Wright will be joining the firm on 4 July 2011 as a Construction & Engineering Partner in our dispute resolution department.

John’s practice focuses primarily on contentious construction matters, advising on a range of domestic and international disputes for employers, contractors and professionals.  He also sits as an arbitrator, mediator and adjudicator in construction and other commercial disputes. Prior to joining Goodman Derrick, John was joint Head of the International Construction and Engineering Practice Group at Bird & Bird, whom he joined in 2008 following the merger with Lane and Partners.
John has long been listed  as a leading construction lawyer in the legal directories with descriptions of him such as  "calm, cool, clear and concise", "tactically aware and experienced" and "an exceptional lawyer – very impressive."

He is Chairman  of the Board of Trustees of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and in January 2012 will become Co-Chair  of the International Construction Projects section of the International Bar Association.
