Emily Kearsey


Emily is a solicitor in Goodman Derrick’s Employment team

Emily deals with a range of both non-contentious and contentious employment matters, and has experience acting for employers and employees, from a range of industries.

On the non-contentious side, Emily has experience in drafting and advising on settlement agreements, employment contracts, director’s service agreements, employee handbooks and consultancy agreements. Emily has also advised in relation to employment status and discrimination issues.

With contentious matters, Emily has experience negotiating settlement payments and also advising on bringing and defending employment tribunal claims.

Education and Career

Emily studied law at the University of Manchester. After graduating, she worked in publishing at Oxford University Press for over a year on their online journals. Emily then left this role to pursue a career in law, completing her training contract at Goodman Derrick LLP, and qualifying as a solicitor of the firm in September 2017.
