Katee advises on all aspects of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious, from recruitment to the end of the employment relationship.
She has worked with clients across a range of sectors including hospitality and leisure, finance, media, construction, education, recruitment industry, retail and technology. Katee acts for both employers and employees.
Katee is experienced in advising on a wide range of issues including strategic and day-to-day HR advice, contract and policy drafting, Tribunal litigation (as well as appeals to the Employment Appeal Tribunal and Court of Appeal), settlement agreements, discrimination issues, corporate due diligence, TUPE and outsourcing. She also writes and presents at client seminars/training events and writes for external publications, being noted as a "star writer" by The Lawyer.
Katee is noted by clients as ‘consistently excellent’, who is a ‘pleasure to work with’ (Legal 500 2017) and ‘exceptionally professional and knowledgeable’ who displays a ‘sensible, pragmatic approach’ (Legal 500 2019). She was listed by Chambers and Partners in 2012 and 2013 as an “Associate to Watch” after being highlighted for her ‘clear manner and realistic approach’. Katee completed her training contract at a large city firm (Simmons & Simmons, 2003 to 2005) and subsequently joined Goodman Derrick LLP in September 2005 as a newly qualified solicitor, specialising in employment law.
