Ross advises on a wide range of commercial property transactions including development projects, large scale investment acquisitions and disposals, major lettings and high value complex property finance transactions.

Ross’ development expertise includes acting for both developers and landowners in negotiating subject to planning agreements, options, development agreements, overage arrangements and land promotion schemes for both commercial and residential development projects. He also regularly advises on commercial pre-let and pre-sale transactions.

His clients include small and medium sized property development companies and large regional housebuilders. He also heads up a team acting for several banks and specialist lenders with a particular focus on the provision of development finance.

Ross has significant experience acting for both landlords and tenants in the industrial, office, retail and leisure sectors and in the management, refinancing and disposal of property portfolios. He has handled the head office relocations of several significant national companies.

Ross’ clients value his in-depth understanding of the real estate sector as well as his diligent and pragmatic approach.

Career

Ross joined Goodman Derrick in October 2014, becoming a Partner in October 2021. Ross trained at Howard Kennedy LLP and qualified into their commercial real estate team in 2012.
