Our strong cross-departmental Construction team provides contentious and non-contentious advice to clients owners, developers, contractors and consultants who are:

- UK based with projects or disputes overseas where English Law or procedure applies.
The team provides developers, international contractors, leading fit-out contractors, specialist subcontractors, architects, engineers and consultants with the highest quality legal advice that is combined with our deep knowledge of the global construction sector and a commercially pragmatic approach. The team has acted for a large number of parties on projects as far afield as South America, The Middle East and Asia. Projects where we have been involved in giving advice include, airport development in South America, Building of a landmark tower in Baghdad (not proceeded with), data centres across Europe and advising African state entities in relation to their housing and roads upgrade programmes. The Team is experience in advising on the use of FIDIC forms of contract as well as the NEC form for international projects.
Construction Law Disputes
We advise in relation to all forms of dispute resolution from adjudication and high court litigation to ICC arbitrations, acting for clients involved in disputes abroad and for international clients with disputes within the UK. Our expertise covers claims evaluation, early neutral evaluation, court litigation, dispute boards and international arbitration.
A specialist adjudication dispute board services is also available, we provide a tailored approach that is aligned with the value in dispute. The Team includes a member of the DRBF [hyperlink to https://www.drb.org/ ] the specialist organisation for dispute boards the internationally recognised method of interim dispute resolution. The Team can advise you on the specific form to go in your contract or if you are working on a project which is heading towards dispute we can advise you on the process and preparation of your claim. We work closely with consultants who can advise you on all related financial and technical issues in preparing your claim. We also work with local lawyers both through our Legal Netlink Alliance membership or the vast network of local lawyers across the world through membership of the International Construction Projects Group of the IBA.
